US stocks sink on eurozone worries

US stocks fell overnight after investor concerns over the debt talks in Europe caused a sell-off in late trading. After seesawing much of the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average sank in late trading to close down 179.79 points, or 1.6 percent, at 11,010.90. The decline snapped a three-day win streak for the bellwether index. The Standard & Poor's 500 index lost 24.32 points, or 2.1 percent, to close at 1,151.06, while the Nasdaq Composite shed 55.25 points, or 2.2 percent, to finish at 2,491.58.
