Shares open slightly higher
THE Australian share market has opened slightly higher, following in the footstep of Wall Street which closed up less than half a per cent. At 10:13 (AEST), the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 19.1 points, or 0.47 per cent, at 4,091.8, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 18.2 points, or 0.44 per cent, at 4,176.6.
