EUROPEAN stock markets closed in positive territory overnight, with the London FTSE 100 index adding 0.43 per cent to reach 5644.63 points.
The Paris CAC 40 gained 0.48 per cent to reach 3957.89 while in Frankfurt the Dax rose 0.89 per cent to 6024.28 points.
